Thanks for taking the time to read this post. In the case you are unable to access the internet, firstly, try the following ‘magic’ fix:
Please try a direct wired connection to the Optical Network Terminal (ONT), the one branded as Nucleus Connect or Alcatel Lucent. This device is also called the modem, and is NOT the router.
Thereafter, please verify the LEDs on the ONT. In case this is your first fibre service, you should most likely be connected to Port 1. Port 1 should be blinking green, whereas “POWER” and “LINK” should be static green.
If you are able to receive internet connectivity while connected directly to the ONT and bypassing the router, and you’re using the router MyRepublic provided you during installation, you’re eligible in having the router replaced (3 year warranty for Asus).
Simply contact the customer service team by dropping a call at +65-64366638 or visit the live chat on http://www.MyRepublic.com.sg during office hours. You can also contact Asus at +65-66369163 to replace the suspected damaged router (Asus routers come with a 3 year warranty). Make it clear that there’s internet from the ONT but not from the router.
If there’s no internet from the ONT (red signal light), contact MyRepublic CS (or your ISP) and mention that both ONT and router does not have service plus the ONT has a red signal light.
